Computer sciences: Intelligent systems and technologies include the study of approaches, methods, and technologies used in modern intelligent systems, the development of expert, recommendatory, intelligent information search, computation, and logic systems. Students are exposed to intelligent systems technologies such as Prolog, Lisp, multiple programming languages (C#/.Net, C, Java, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Assembler), mathematical methods of data analysis, and software design methodologies.

Information technology studies:

  1. Computing Technique and Programming;
  2. Methods for the effective organization of the labor are the process associated with the processing of information.
  3. The processes of interaction between people, the informatization of society, as well as their impact on social processes.

Within the scope of the specialty, specialists are trained to design, implement, and operate modern information systems and information technologies
(IS/IT). The department cooperates with the largest IT companies in Kharkiv. Within the framework of cooperation, students of both directions are given
several joint courses: «Distributed and cloud computing» with the company Plarium, and «Data analysis» with the company CS Ltd. The course «Game development on C » was read together with Gameloft, «Cryptocurrencies and distributed systems» together with Sigma Software.

Basic skills of students of the department of computer science and informatics

In addition to mathematical, scientific, and humanities disciplines, you will study such professional and special disciplines such as information and communication technologies, design and development of information systems, information, and knowledge processing techniques, application of systems analysis and information management, mathematical modeling of social and economic processes, financial and
actuarial mathematics, management information technology. During your studying, you will be acquainted with the latest scientific developments in the field of information technology and programming. Graduates of the specialty are specialists in a broad field. Their subjects are in the fields of science and technology, such as computer graphics, distributed computing, computer networks, biomechanics, modeling in medicine, and prediction of social processes. As part of vocational and practical training, students study subjects aimed at the use of knowledge in various areas of information technology, in particular:

  • design and implementation of complex distributed information systems;
  • Information security in information systems and integrated security systems;
  • integration of information systems (including hardware, software, information, and telecommunications);
  • knowledge engineering and artificial intelligence systems;
  • decision-making systems;

  • design of computerized integrated systems;
