Yakovlev S.V. in 1978 he graduated from the Faculty of Computer Engineering of the Kharkov Institute of Radio Electronics (now Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics) with a degree in applied mathematics, and in 2005 he received a second higher education with a degree in Jurisprudence. He worked as a junior, senior researcher of the research department, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE). In 1982 at the Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Glushkov defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, specializing in mathematical cybernetics. In 1990 at Tomsk State University he defended his thesis on “Theory and optimization methods of geometric design in control, monitoring and control systems” and received a doctorate in physical and mathematical sciences, specializing in control in technical systems. He has the academic title of Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics.
Teacher, supervisor and consultant S.V. Yakovleva is a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Stoyan Yuri Grigorievich. A significant role in the formation of S.V. Yakovlev was played by Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine V.L. Rvachev.
In 1993 S.V. Yakovlev directly took part in the creation of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (KhNUVD), heading the Faculty of Information and Law, later renamed the Faculty of Management and Informatics and the Faculty of Cybersecurity. Laureate of the competition “Kharkiv region – the best names” in the nomination “Dean of the Year”.
From 2004 to 2010, he worked at the Kharkiv Institute of Management, Kharkiv University of Economics and Law, the University of Mass Media and Telecommunications as a professor, vice-rector for academic and scientific work, rector. In 2010, he returned to the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, where he worked as a professor at the Department of Information Technology and Information Security, Deputy Director for Educational and Scientific Work, First Deputy Director of Educational and Scientific Institutes. Since September 2, 2016 he has been working at the National Aerospace University. Zhukovsky “KhAI” as a professor of the Department of Informatics.
He completed an internship in the United States under the program “Administrators of Higher Educational Institutions”, participated in Interpol programs, constantly maintains scientific relations with universities in the European Union and the United States.
In different periods of time he was a member of the experts of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Ukraine, the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine, the State Accreditation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. He headed the specialized academic council at KhNUVD with a degree in Information Systems and Technologies. Member of specialized scientific councils for awarding the degree of Doctor of Science at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (specialty “Mathematical Modeling and Computational Methods”), Dnipro National University (specialty “Theoretical Foundations of Informatics and Cybernetics”).
The direction of scientific activity of Professor Yakovlev S.V. associated with mathematical modeling, optimization and information-analytical technologies of complex processes and systems, taking into account the spatial shape of objects. He has more than 300 scientific publications, including 15 monographs and textbooks. He has trained more than 10 students, three of whom have already become doctors of science. Scientific achievements of Professor Yakovlev S.V. widely recognized in the world scientific community. He has one of the highest rates among university staff in terms of the number of publications indexed in the SCOPUS scientific and metric database (see Appendix).
The President of Ukraine for high achievements in the development of science and education S.V. Yakovlev was awarded the Honorary title “Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine”, and at the general meeting of the Engineering Academy of Ukraine he was elected an academician.
He is married, has two daughters and five grandchildren. The main hobbies are tennis, skiing and swimming.
